"By nature, I am an acute observer, a dissector of society and the world I travel. A thoughtful commentator, my work is born of curiosity. ‘I See,’ is the result of an accidental discovery of the beauty of a disposable item that I – and many – rely on daily: contact lenses. Encountering the exquisite forms of lenses left to dry led me to an examination and reconsideration of the casualness with which we discard things daily. In creating waterscapes from what is typically discarded without a thought, I hope others may consider the beauty of things not previously seen as beautiful."-Debbie Zeitman
Debbie Zeitman began her photographic life as a photojournalist covering primarily sports, where, she says, the story was inherent in the action. Now she crafts stories from everyday life, with images and words, and frequently by combining the two.
